Kristie McGowan is a luxury interior designer known for her traditional interiors. With a twist. Kristie applies her PhD in textiles, professional background in fashion, and passion for interiors to seamlessly blend high and low, color and pattern, traditional and modern with old and new to create beautifully curated and inspiring spaces. Her rooms are unexpected, colorful and an infusion of styles that reflect the best of those living in the spaces.

Kristie has a B.S. in Textile Marketing from The University of Rhode Island and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Textile Technology and Management from North Carolina State University Wilson College of Textiles.

Kristie grew up in Massachusetts but has called North Carolina home for over 22 years. She resides in Chapel Hill with her husband, two children and sweet rescue dog.
